Mr. Paul Gusimba is the Co-Founder of A-Lite Uganda Ltd where he works with a team of: Medical, Business, Computer and Biomedical backgrounds that design affordable and appropriate healthcare solutions for developing nations.
He holds a BSc. (Hons) in Computer Engineering (Hardware Engineering–Major) from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) with extremely great experience in electronics, embedded systems design and reverse engineering.
He has worked on a number of medical related innovations, the most recent being his contribution on a project entitled: "The Vein Locator", a medical device designed to facilitate the location of a proper vein in pediatric patients.
He has served as an organiser and facilitator at different innovation competitions, the most recent being:

Organizer and participant at the 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Annual CAMTech Uganda MedTech Hack-a-thon at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mbarara – Uganda. The theme of the 2018 Annual CAMTech Uganda MedTech Hack-a-thon: “Innovating to improve community health services to attain universal health coverage.”

Paul has also provided some voluntary technical support on multiple projects,such as;
1. Development of the medical incinerator, a device aimed at using waste to burn waste. I.e. converting biodegradable waste to energy required to burn non-biodegradable medical.
2. Development of the smart car umbrella. A device that is installed on a carto automatically retract when there is too much sunshine to create shade for the car.

Over time, Paul has built his brand as a technical consultant in research and development of innovations, and he has inspired a number of innovators to launch start-ups that solve the most pressing global challenges.
